Sometimes ears don’t stand properly until a puppy has finished teething. If the ear is only tipping forward at the top, they will probably stand on their own. You can start taping ears, to encourage them to stand, around 3-4 months old, but please find someone to help you who knows how to tape correctly and is experienced in ear taping.
If the ears are not standing by 7-8 months old, they are probably not going to. Some dog’s ears are simply too thick and heavy.
